Some Things I’ve Learned

Nothing says we ever have to be a victim of our circumstances.  We all have choices.  God gave us all a free will.  Adversity is meant to be overcome.

When you truly love someone, that never goes away.  Your life might change.  Your circumstances might change.  You might move on.  But the connection will always be there.  Always.

Sometimes in life, you have to choose between a difficult choice and an even more difficult choice.  Even when you know you made the right one, it doesn’t mean you never look back with regret.

Don’t take life for granted.  Before you know it, you find that you have more years behind you than you’ll ever have in front of you.  Make the most of the time you have.

“That’s the thing about depression:  A human being can survive almost anything, as long as she sees the end in sight.  But depression is so insidious, and it compounds daily, that it’s impossible to ever see the end.  The fog is like a cage without a key.”
